&lt;p&gt;nice post. I used to use Carbon Emacs too. But this Summer the Emacs folks integrated Emacs.app into the official GNU Emacs CVS. It&#039;s much nicer as it&#039;s a Cocoa application. Plus you get the latest Emacs (23.something). You only have to compile it from the CVS. It takes only couple of minutes.&lt;/p&gt;
